WebOct 30, 2013 · There is ammo available that will allow you to use it as is. Polywad and RST sell 2.5" ammo. The polywad may not cycle the action, but the 1200 fps 1 oz. RST should work fine, as would their nice shot load. It is my understanding that the B&P ammo works great in a short chambered A5, but I have no first hand knowledge. Polywad states it uses 2 1/4 dram equivalent. RST uses a 1125 fps measurement. I'll be using the shells in my vintage William Ford 16 gauge box lock. I've been told by the seller that the RST Falcon shells will be safe in it.
